Travel to the farm

Apparently in my zeal to post something while on our trip, I overlooked some very important pictures...like how we got to where we were! SOOOOOO.....

"Let's start at the very beginning, it's a very good place to be.
When you read you begin with ABC.
When you drive you begin with 4 kids, a hubby, and me!"

We woke the kids up around 4:00, stuck 'em in the car with jammies, and started drivin'!
They were all VERY excited.

Well, almost all!
The sun peeked over the mountain just
as
they
crashed
zzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!

We survived our first day and here we are ready for day two!

Day 3 and our final day of the road trip to the farm. The kids begged us to drive during the night, so the daddy and I drove as long as we could. Stopping around 3 a.m. and having only 5ish hours to drive the final day proved worth it. The kids were ready to hit the road and get there quickly. Lunch break/wiggle time!

Of course we hugged, kissed, loved on the folks as soon as we arrived, but I was too busy doing all that stuff to take any pictures....
So the first pics I have are of the kids playing in the creek that runs through the farm. Joining them are cousins C and R who were also featured in the previous post.
Cuz R is rather daring when you realize the water is approximately 65 or so degrees. Ooooosh! (that is my cold noise)Cuz C and K are building a dam. K takes a dip in the chilly water. And J has to join them. Baby J, however, is pretty doggone smart and decides that she will play it safe and only experience the numbness in her feet. It did feel great on that hot, humid day!We also went swimming at a neighbor's pool and this was the only picture I took. I think I was changing diapers, feeding a baby, and who knows what else the rest of the time. Anywho, she sure was stylin'!
