Christmas Eve/Christmas Day

"Who me? No, I wasn't looking in the presents. This one just jumped in my hands."
"Okay, it was me! But can you blame me. Look at all this good stuff!"The Tubaman opening a gift from S, J, S, J, J, J. And J in the background with her new costume on.
On Christmas Eve we invited some friends over to eat with us. We had a wonderful time, and while I was too busy getting food ready (to be read "stuffing my face with lots of yummy food") to take any pictures, we had a wonderful time and are so very thankful for such amazing friends to share this season with. The kids had a great day getting the house ready and waiting for their friends to arrive. Lots of laughs and beautiful Christmas songs being shared in the house this special day!
And then, we got all beautified to attend our candlelight service that evening. What an amazing time of worship! How exciting to focus and think about the wonderful sacrifice our Savior was willing to make in order to save us. No matter how hard we try, we can nor ever will be perfect. And without the saving grace of a Savior who was willing to leave his throne in heaven to become a baby and live here on earth, die for us, and then rise again, we would have no hope. How I love to reflect upon this wonderful miracle. I pray your time of worship was as precious as our family's.
And of course, Christmas morn was filled with little surprises to bring smiles to our sweetie's faces. J had wanted a "real" camera for some time. And boy was she excited to receive one. She kept telling people, "and it isn't just one of those little ones in the check-out line" (meaning the disposable ones which she would point out every time we walked through a store). She hasn't stopped taking pictures since then (and we decided we have to take out some stock in batteries in order to make it through this year).
K got a new Veggie Tales movie.
And Baby J received her sister's hand-me-down kitchen. Now we can do some serious cookin'!What Christmas would be complete without a Nerf shotgun for a 4 year old? Not sure who likes it the most...the daddy or the boy?
And the daddy was given some beautiful paintings/drawings from his babes (and socks too...don't feel too bad for him). *grin*Oh yeah! And he got some awesome history videos to be used mostly for schooling the kids, but they seem so much better when the daddy gets them and is THIS excited!

Baby J also got a little horse. (Her sissie had received a horse from some friends a few days before and Baby J just couldn't understand why she couldn't play with sissie's new horse ALL the time. We thought sissie's life might improve significantly if Baby had her OWN horse to love.) The sleepy little girl does love her horse!!
