It's a Lizard

I think most of you know the story behind the title, but just in case....when we were expecting Baby J, we had the usual ultrasound at the 18-20 week mark. As we were going to the doctor's office, we explained to J and K that we would be finding out what we were having (of course meaning a girl or a boy). K, who was only a little more than two at the time, misunderstood and thought we were finding out WHAT we were having. He said he wanted a lizard or a snake. When we explained that we were having a baby and we were to discover whether it was a girl or a boy, he was a little disappointed, but soon decided a baby was better than nothing. As a joke, this time around, we have been saying that we didn't know if we were having a lizard (K's preference) or a puppy (J's choice). *grin* We have had lots of fun waiting, and today, we found out we are indeed having a lizard. hehehehe

Okay, just kidding. We were able to see this amazing baby growing inside me (isn't technology an amazing thing) and here are a few pictures.

This is the profile. For those who may not be as experienced with this, from left to right..
tummy sticking up with arm slightly visible. Chin, nose and forehead continuing to the right. And J even pointed out that you can make out the ear if you look closely.

Here is the bottom of the foot just under the 5 toes text. It is a little fuzzy, but from left to right are big to little toes. How precious and wonderful. This is baby looking straight at us (albeit lying on the side). You can see eye sockets, nose and as the technician pointed out, baby is clearly smiling at us. Right arm is raised and hand is laying on side of head.
And the one everyone has been waiting for. This is the cute little tushy staring at us with a protrusion between the legs. The technician said she was 99.9% certain we were having a lizard, hmm, I mean a boy, and she doesn't go any higher than that. K was thrilled and J says she is just thankful we are having another baby. She said something about maybe the next one would be a girl. I think that was the point when the daddy passed out, but it may have just been his excitement over another man in the house. *grin*
And praise to our wonderful Maker, everything looked well and developing just fine according to the technician.

"For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. " Psalm 139:13-14
