Just to give you an idea of how large these are, those are people sitting on the X. There is plenty to do at this wonderful tribute to our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. You can walk to the Mountain Prayer Chapel, visit the tomb of Jesus, and just simply ponder how a perfect God could give up all he had to come to this earth to save us from our sins. Praise God He did love each of us enough to do that. My prayer is that each person reading this has accepted His gift of love and has asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, for without Him we remain sinners and separated from God in eternity. My second prayer is that if you have made this choice, that you will find peace and strength to make it each day through your relationship with Christ for He desires to spend time with you.
Baby J fell asleep on me during our hike up the cool, shady trees (just a hint of sarcasm may be detected). She was completely soaked from being pressed up against her daddy, so Grandmommy, Baby J, and I waited at the top of the mountain for our knights in shining armor to save us from the heat.
Once the knights arrived, we drove the rest of the way up the mountain to the All Nations Cross.
Next on our sightseeing was the Ocoee River where the Whitewater Rafting for the Olympics was held back in 1996. It was on the drive home, so we stopped to take a look.
Cuties if I do say so myself.
The sign reads "Caution, Bears active in this area". Fortunately, we did not see any bears, but we did see a few unusual sights including this really growly girl...
And this goofy guy carrying his adorable niece around on his shoulders.
