Aquarium

So we took a little trip to the Aquarium. What a fun place. "Wait!", you say. There are a few kids missing.Mystery solved. Baby J LUVS her big cousin J-Dawg and wanted to be pushed by/carried/you name it by him the majority to the time. He looks pretty natural, don't you think? *grin*
Yikes! Shark! This was a way cool exhibit. There were two divers in the aquarium with these sharks giving us lots of info about them. Since K happens to be in love with sharks, this was amazingly interesting to him.
Not sure if J was praying for her safety or the divers.

And then the kids went into the cage themselves. Okay, it was just a pretend one. Don't get worried anybody. *giggle* Looks pretty cool though.

Amazing penguin exhibit. Boy are those wonderful creatures to watch up close. I mean, they are really fun to see on TV and "Happy Feet" is even one of our liked-a-lot movies, but to see them glide through the water and then spring up out of the water like a rocket to a rock two or three feet above the water and land perfectly on those cute little feet is truly amazing. And then to see how clumsy they are waddling around. Reminds me of how I will be feeling in just a few short months. *grin*
These guys are watching a nest. And I mean WATCHING! They would just stand there and not take their eyes off of the nest. Pretty cute little critters.
This one little feller would swim right by us and show off his skills popping up out of the water. It was wonderful to see him swim right in front of us. Fun, fun, fun!

And the butterfly garden was wonderful as well. Wow! Look at those colors. Try getting that in a crayon!

Stingrays and a guitar fish that the kids could pet. I was just very happy taking pictures. Putting my hands on the backs of slimy fishy things is just not my favorite thing to do.

Man are those great faces. The funny part is that the kids were not weirded out at all. I think I just captured a moment of "that is a really, really big crab" on both of their faces.

And the kids completely wore Poppy out. We spent 5 hours at the place. K was so interested that we just couldn't leave. I mean by the time we had seen 50 kinds of fish, I was a little fished out, but he wanted to see it ALL. Poppy finally just gave up the ghost! Our own little fish!
I don't believe anyone needs to worry about this shark, do you?
