Deer Farm

We were able to visit a deer farm during our stay at Nanny and Grandad's. What a cool place. Not only could the kids feed the deer (read run for their lives as the deer attack the cup of grain), but we also saw an assortment of unusual animals. I mean, I really don't remember the last time I saw a camel, a pot-bellied pig, a buffalo, some miniature mules, a reindeer, a llama, a cockatoo, and a marmoset hanging out together. But here at this deer farm, you can find all of these things in one neat location.

For any Veggie Tales lovers, THIS is a Zebu. A real Zebu. I think this is the sick zebu. Actually, I don't think this one had an encounter with a cucumber, but I could be wrong. Have no clue what I am talking about? Then you really need to spend more time catching up on Veggie Tales. Check out The Song of the Cebu.

A real, live Santa's reindeer. Wow! What amazing antlers. Those things look exhausting to carry around, much less flying on Christmas Eve. No wonder we only have Christmas once a year. Santa's reindeer require the rest of the year to recover after holding those things up all night flying around.

See that little cup? That thing can get a deer excited. Boy do they know what is in that cup. Those critters will follow you anywhere as long as you have that cup in your hand.
And I know you are soooo surprised, but baby J slept through the whole thing.
K fighting off the wild beasts. No really, just making certain no appendages look anything like the little cup that holds the gold (i.e. grain).
J and a teensy, weensy goat.

K liked this one the best.

J having a moment with her new friend as we said our goodbyes.
