The Yacht

Oh me, oh my! Some cuties snoozing away. Each morning, after this adorable little fellow would wake up for his 5:30 a.m. snack, I would put him back to bed, and then go check on the other sweeties. They always seemed to be a little too warm, or a little cool, or no covers, or just to see their sweet little angelic faces, or something! Anyway, one morn, I took the camera around and was able to snatch these priceless treasures. This is a stuffed animal crazed gal! I think the current count is 72 animals which she holds all night long. No, really...it is 1. the mama bear (my old stuffy), 2. a cute bear she got on her birthday this year, 3. her "Mooey" of course, 4. a buffalo which reminds her of her daddy (I don't personally see the resemblance), 5. a unicorn pillow pet named Eunice, and I don't remember what all else. She is too cute!
This little hottie is literally that...always HOT! Look at that sweaty little head. And note the neigh (name for her beloved horse lovey) to lip sleep posture. Can't sleep without it.
Aaaaawwww!
My handsome little farmer boy. 'Nuf said!
And here are the pictures of the yatch - well, at least by our farm standards. This little aluminum boat is a great time out in the spring.
I think Poppy and J drew the short straws. Looks like K is yelling the orders, "stroke, stroke!"
That's my daddy! He is a good man. Wish there were more like him in this world. Hard worker, man of God, kind yet firm (wouldn't cross him for anything in the world still to this day *grin*), tough as nails or more like steel beams, a good singer, funny (especially if you can get him to laugh till he cries), and loved by all! I actually can't think of a person who has ever been cross with my daddy (other than my mom and well, you know, they've lived together for 44 years now). Will stop bailing his hay to go help a neighbor in need, regardless of what it is - even with the threat of rain. Can fix anything under the sun. He has an amazing talent for working on tractors, farm equipment, you name it. At any moment, he usually has some tool on loan to a neighbor who didn't know how to fix it, so he talks them through it and loans out the right tools. He is a great dad, husband, and Poppy!

My mama and baby K. And she is a good mama! All the things she studies in the Bible, she puts into practice. She has cooked more meals for sick family members, church family, or neighbors/friends who have lost loves ones than most people my age have ever cooked in their lives! She is the kind of woman that trained us as kids not to lie, or steal, or speak God's name in vain, or break any of the other commandments...and we believed and still do believe that she will discipline us good if we should not comply with any of those. (And life sure is easier if you follow God's rules *grin*) She and my dad plant a huge garden each year so they will have plenty of food 'to share' with friends and neighbors. She has sat in hospital waiting rooms with friends and family while their loved ones underwent surgeries or other treatments. She is truly one of the Proverbs 31 women...
"Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
By today's standards, she may not have lots of awards or other plaques to hang on the wall, but by God's everlasting standards, she has many jewels in her crown. My mom and my dad have created a legacy of children who love the Lord and are doing our best to train up our children to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind". That and I know that we will all be in heaven together some day. Other than my husband, she is my best friend. She is a hard worker, a good cleaner, an awesome mom, wife, and grandmommy, and I can honestly say, this is one of the best pictures she has ever had taken!!!!!
A little fuzzy, but too cute not to get that tongue hanging out on the blog.
Peek-a-boo!

Some funny words captured by my kids.
While nursing Baby K during lunch, Baby J announces that she needs to go potty. As is typical, my awesome helper, Big J, takes her to the potty. I can hear from my chair, Baby J's request for the "neigh book". I can also hear Big J's many attempts to get the correct book for her which were declined with the response, "No, the neigh book!!" Because this had happened to me just days prior, I happened to know she actually wanted the Clifford book which also has a horse (a neigh) on the front cover. So I yell from my seat, "She wants the Clifford book." I then hear "yeah, THAT one!" (as if it were SOOOO obvious *grin*). Big J returns and simply states, "She is sooo demanding!" - end of story

My mother is famous for her cowsplatters (a.k.a. no bake cookies) back in her neck of the woods. If you have not seen a cow pile at some point in your life, you should know that those cookies truly do resemble before said, and thus have been given this name in our neighborhood. I enjoy making cowsplatters as well and do so when we are having company or taking food somewhere, etc. After a party at our house, I had a few leftover and had taken them with us to the park for a snack after lunch. Baby J did not want hers at the time, and so I put it back in the lunch box. As we were leaving, she said, "I want my cow poop cookie now." I could not find fault in her statement as she clearly identified the desired food with only a slight change in description, so I simply replied, "Yes ma'am. Here is your cow poop cookie" (and then proceeded to laugh hysterically on the inside!)

My little 2 year old is quite a stinker and often does silly antics which make us laugh or giggle. She usually looks at us with her 'grumpy' face and retorts in her best 2 year old talk, "That not funny!" To which we respond, "Yes it is. Just a little bit?" And then in her before mentioned demanding voice she again exhorts, "That not funny!" - Priceless.
