Spring Tea Party

We had our 2nd annual tea party complete with fancy dresses, party favors, and a knight to protect us. (He put down the sword for the picture). These are some of J's dearest friends that joined us for a special time of games and "tea" (or really, really sweet punch as the case is with little girls). It was a wonderful time.

We started the day with a special egg hunt for Resurrection eggs. Then J led the girls in the telling of the Easter story having each girl tell a part of the story using the egg she found. If you are not familiar with Resurrection eggs, you need some. My kids LOVE playing with them this time of year remembering what our Lord and Savior did for us so that we could have eternal life in heaven some day. (Available at www.cbd.com) Than we did some cool crafts making hats and cards.
Our knight of the day got his own special green hat. And take notice of his awesome shirt (a gift from two of the girls for our MDA walk the next day.)
And in keeping with our funny farm theme, no tea party is complete without a horse ride (even in fancy dresses). A party just isn't a party without a ride in the backyard on the horse swing.
And then came tea time complete with spring cookies, punch, and red velvet cupcakes made by J. Lovely time, daaaahlings, lovely time.

Yes, these are pics of the birthday bag from my sis and her family. She hadn't seen the bag in person, so I keep telling her it is plenty big. Just posting some more pictures so she can know how truly sufficient it is.
Our dear friend Melissa hanging out (literally) with the kids.
The Tubaman likes me to show that the OCD gene is alive and well in this family. The cars are lined up perfectly you will notice. Yes, life is good!
