Wow! Has it been a long time. We've had sick mama, sick kids, out of town daddy, and just all around busy time as we started our new year. But the dad informed me that I needed to get back to blogging. I think his exact words were, "How am I supposed to know what is going on around here?" I guess he checked the blog weekly or so to find out what he had been doing that week. *grin* He was feeling a bit overwhelmed not knowing what he had done the past month. We have to get him back on track so here are some way-back-when pics (you know,back in 2009).

We walked about a mile down to the parade. Here we are waiting around for it to start. We were right across the street from the ocean. Literally!

How do they do this?

Some more pre-game wonders. A whole lot of military personnel carried this enormous flag onto the field and then unrolled it in seconds. It literally covered the entire field.

Waiting for the game to start. Yes, it was drizzling and cold (well, for us desert folk...it is all relative ya know). The Holiday Bowl was COLD for us.
