Funny Farm

Poppy and his helper.
Big Cuz Sari spent the night and then watched a movie the next morning. (No TV at the cabin, but an occaisional movie on the computer is a treat).
J and K on a walk to meet Grandmommy.

Sleep time. Big sis takes a snooze with little sis.

K has his big bed in the loft.

This is J's bed in the loft. Nap time is peaceful (and necessary) on the farm.

Stockbarn visit. Cattle in the background will be sold that afternoon.
Baby J's thoughts on the visit.

Our arrival to the stock barn with our stock in tow. Three calves to be sold this day. No, the kids are not for sale...today--talk to me tomorrow if they are misbehaving *grin*.

More snoozing...yes, this is pretty much all she does. But isn't she beautiful?

J took this picture. It is one view from our cabin.

This is what greeted us every morning. Mama and Papa geese and their babies swimming across the spring. We also had deer (no pics unfortunately) and cows most days.

A honey bee nest in the side of a tree on one of our walks.

Grandmommy, you ARE superwoman, but let's not make others feel bad by showing what you can push down. (A storm had blown this tree down across the fence and Poppy had to cut it off the fence)
Notice the root ball in the background. Some storm.

J had quite the riding adventure this trip. This small ride in the driveway was followed by a 30 minute ride through the woods in the rain.

He is soooo cute. Look at that silly face. Now why could he be making such a goofy face?

Oh yeah, because he was stranded in the barn loft. "Uh guys, can I get a little help over here? Guys? Mom? Dad? Anybody?"
This foal is only 6 weeks old...just like baby J. Only this baby's mom died and now Miss Jennifer has to feed him. This is a Rocky Mountain Saddle Horse. He will lose all the light colored hair and be the dark color around his nose. Amazing isn't it?
