"Some intriguing trigonometry sister, don't you agree?" "Why yes, brother, it is quite fascinating!" (Or maybe it was a farm game on the computer, but it held their attention quite well.)
Yes, we were able to encounter some snow right here in the desert thanks to some great friends of ours. A local resort was having a "Winter Wonderland" event at which sledding, Santa and a horse drawn buggy ride were available. Our friends were attending the special event and invited us to tag along.
K had his first taste of the white stuff. I think he enjoyed it.
J was impossible to stop sledding. She would have stayed there all day if we had allowed it. They both had a great time.
And J got to be the official "helper" of the little ones. She went sledding with K and our neighbor in her lap much more than she was able to go alone.
The wonderful neighbors who invited us.
And the dad even got in on the fun.
The horse drawn buggy ride was COLD! Believe it or not, we get cold here too. At least I was cold. J's little tushy was wet from all the sledding. She was tougher than me, however, and didn't complain nearly as much. It was fun in spite of the cold.
