Day 3 - Road trip

Good night's sleep except for the whole sleeping with kids thing. Man are they wiggly. The dad is sleeping with the boy and the girl and I are sleeping together. I think I had an elbow in the face at least a hundred times last night, and the dad says the boy slept upside down the entire night. Anyway, we were in bed a LONG time (keeping the kids hours does have its perks).

Then off for another day "on the road again". We left our freezing pool in Abilene and drove and drove and drove. Our first stop to potty ended up being a fun time. A HUGE dog awaited us for the kids to pet and the lady informed us of some Shetland ponies in the back of the building that we could pet. The kids loved it.

We stopped for lunch on the road and then drove until we found Louisiana. Our plans were to stay in Shreveport, but everyone was behaving so well that we decided to conquer another hour in the car. We are in Ruston, Louisiana tonight. After a quick bologna and cheese sandwich, a dip in a warm pool, a stop for some ice cream, and a stop for more juice and water, we are ready to hit the sack. Good night. TN here we come.
