The Farmer grows the pumpkins. The little girl and little boy pick out the pumpkin and then the magic begins. Just like God can make a beautiful new creation out of you and me (if we give Him our hearts and study the Bible to be more Christlike), we can make a new creation out of an ol' orange pumpkin.
The little girl pulled out the slimy pulp and threw it in the trash, never to be seen again. Psalm 103:12 tells us that God has taken out sins away as far as the east is from the west.
And I mean YUCKY, SLIMY pulp.
The little girl carved a beautiful picture on the pumpkin. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says that we are being changed to be like Him.
K was great with the knife...dangerous, but great.
Even baby J got in on the fun.
Then the pumpkin got a wide smile. Proverbs 15:13 tells us that "happiness makes a person smile."
How the pumpkin glowed. "In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do. Live so that they will praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
"If anyone belongs to Christ, then he is made new. The old things have gone; everything is made new!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
