Our homeschooling group went on a field trip this week to a program at the Rodeo. While the program was interesting (and the mom learned lots), the preliminary rounds for which we were invited to stay were the COOLEST thing of all. We were able to see some barrel racing and some steer wrestling. We would like to have seen more of the rodeo, but the desert weather simply became more than we could handle...you know 89 degrees in February. Tough, I know! *grin*
Our late night of partying (see previous entry) led to this sleepy little girl the next morning. I had to wake her to make it to the rodeo on time.
Now she is wide awake!!! And looking good in her hat I might add. Poppy, take note of the shirt.
And here is the man! Ain't he a sweetie. Don't worry. I am already playing tapes in his room at night to brain wash him to play the tuba and NOT be a bull rider. Too much for this scaredy mama to handle. Tuba playing is MUCH safer...I think?
Here are just a couple pics of the actual rodeo. Steer wrestling looks like lots of fun to a 2 year old. Hence the brain washing at night.
And here are all the people signed up for the prelim rounds of the steer wrestling competition. NO! We did not stay for the entire event. (See above mentioned weather conditions)
