Tractor Show

Yes, even though there are no actual pics of tractors, all this fun occurred at a local tractor show. This is an event where lots of antique tractors get together and show off their exciting traits (exciting to tractor lovers like my dad who has completely restored several antique tractors over the years). While all of this is fun for a while, it is the other stuff (as seen in the pics) that make a tractor show exciting for my wee ones.

The kids got to jump in a jumping castle, hunt for candy in a hay stack, and participate in a sack race. After a display of an old fashioned tractor and corn shredder, candy was tossed into the corn shreds and the kids got to hunt for it. It wasn't very hard (because so much candy was in there) and the kids each got sooooo much candy that WE couldn't even hold it. Wow! They had a blast.

Next, we moved on to the sack races. K needed a little help. Aunt J was happy to assist, but I think her back may have given out if they had raced any farther. We finished the event with a horse drawn wagon ride. Then time for some good eats (an important part of any southern gathering), and off to home for naps.
